McClung’s Animal Hospital is a Full Service Animal Health Care Facility. 

In other words, we are a Doctor’s Office, Pharmacist, Hospital, Laboratory, Emergency Room, Grocery Store, Salon  (grooming and bathing), and Babysitters (boarding and doggie daycare). 

Attica Animal Hospital is our satellite office, which we opened in 2004, to better serve our clients. We provide outpatient services and our hours are by appointment.

Our surgical expertise and equipment allows us to perform soft tissue and complicated orthopedic surgeries such as knee surgery and hip repair and stabilization. 

 

We have an extensive pharmacy and the ability to formulate for the small and hard to medicate patients. For our clients' convenience we carry Science Diet foods and prescription diets for patients with special needs (food allergy, kidney disease, diabetic, etc.). 
 
We have two pet groomers on staff with over 30 years combined experience and we also perform therapeutic grooming and bathing. Our hospital  has spacious boarding areas for toy to giant breed dogs and a private cat boarding ward. 

Boarding

Our hospital’s boarding facility has XL Suites to accommodate giant breed dogs comfortably. We use large, fluffy Cabela beds or cozy chew resistant fleece for pets who enjoy beds. This area has three large windows for lots of natural light. Our hospital has 78 kennels, of varying sizes, so that we can appropriately customize kennel size to dog size.

Our cat boarding room is private, with large cages and soft fleece mats, because sometimes cats are very discriminating guests! They enjoy having their own quiet special place!

Our devoted caretakers offer unique service to the pets that are staying with us. Dogs are leash walked and interacted with three times daily, while all pets’ appetites and bodily functions are monitored and recorded AM & PM, along with any medications or special requirements your pet may need or desire ( there is no additional charge for administering meds). We feed our guests Hills Science Diet, unless your pet requires a special diet that you bring along.

As always, we are dedicated to health and cleanliness. All kennels are thoroughly scrubbed and sanitized each morning and all pets must be current on all vaccinations to stay with us. Many of our clients choose to have services or procedures done while they board with us so that their pet can recuperate here rather than at home. Our dedicated staff is trained in all aspects of animal care, comfort, and patient monitoring.   For our clients on-the-go, who are unable to schedule an appointment during regular hours, we offer a drop-off option, which allows you to leave your pet with us and then pick him/her up later in the day after services have been provided.

We recommend several ways to keep your pets identified and safe. Our ResQ Pet Tracking System is designed to reunite you with your lost pet, if that devastating situation  should arise.  This tiny anti-migration microchip is safe and reliable, and has successfully reunited over 94% of microchipped pets with their families.  We also have an IMARC Vet Tag Engraving System that enables us to engrave a pet ID tag for you within seconds.  You may choose from an assortment of different shapes, sizes, and colors.

McClung's Animal Hospital also offers grooming and bathing, with shampoos and products that can be purchased.  We also carry the full line of Science Diet Foods and Treats that address specific weight and health concerns, and takes your pet from puppy or kitten to geriatric, with the changing nutritional requirements of age. In our waiting room, we sell pet supplies to go in our "Moochie & Co." specialty  store, a place for dogs and cats and the people who love them!

We offer CareCredit to our clients because your pet is an important part of your family.  CareCredit is a convenient, low minimum monthly payment program to help you accept the best treatment recommendation for your pets.\

We welcome anyone to call for hospital tours, including youth groups. We sponsor the WTTF Pet of the Week for the Seneca County Humane Society; tune in to 1600 AM on Wednesday mornings at 8:35.  Understanding the magical bond that a dog and child can develop, McClung's Animal Hospital also donates all of the veterinary care for "Magic", a therapy dog through Assistance Dogs of America...the new animal on the block for Tiffin City Schools.
